Today's updates
Quite a few interesting stuff today i found

First off from Cinescape.com

FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIE

First confirmed on Ain't It Cool News last week by Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad, today's The Hollywood Reporter reiterates that director Peyton Reed has exited Fox's FANTASTIC FOUR movie project. According to the Reporter, Peyton's departure was due to "creative differences". What specifically those differences were remains a mystery.
HARRY POTTER & THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN

Newsweek broke an exclusive look at the new Harry Potter film, HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN, which included new photos from the set. Among them is a look at Gary Oldman's Sirius Black, the incarcerated magician that's central to this Harry adventure.
SPIDER MAN 2 POSTER

It isn't officially in theaters yet and its strictly for a convention. Yay! We get to look at it thanks to the photographer.

Now on to games. News taken from Gamespot.com

The Sims : Makin Magic

Unfortunately folks this will be the last expansion pack from the series. Read on the for the cool new features.

"....the expansion will grant players' sims magical powers and will also introduce a cast of quirky new characters and more than 150 new items to the game. "

"Spells in the game will allow players to perform household duties with a minimum of effort, transform everyday objects into helpful minions, hypnotize other sims, and even turn problem neighbors into frogs. Each of the spells will have its own backfire effect that comes into play if they're not executed correctly, though--examples include toad plagues, snakes, and lightning strikes."

"New characters in The Sims: Makin' Magic will include a snake charmer, a gypsy, and ghosts. Players will also be able to conjure up their own characters with spells capable of turning garden gnomes into gardeners and lawn flamingos into entertaining hostesses. "

The game is scheduled for a Halloween release so that would mean it'll be out say in ... September? Don't know when halloween is.

Epinions.com and emode.com
Watched TechTv on Astro and came across 2 sites that i think are nice to know.

If you are looking for a site to help you compare prices on gadgets to travel to books to movies and so on OR even you just want to find out what people are saying and reviews on the stuff i mentioned earlier go to Epinions.com. The comparison feature is really useful in that you first select the gadget you want to find out, then it is listed out in categories of brand, weight, price, etc. Neat huh? Only problem is that the prices are in USD. Well you could convert the price back to RM on your own accord. This site is good for those of you who are thinking to buy stuff online.

Next on the list is Emode.com. This is a site that offers losts of psychology certified online tests ranging from , "zodiac compatability", "your best quality" to "your destiny". **CAUTION** I am NOT saying to believe in these tests but just as a past time if you got nothing to surf for on the Net. If it does ring true to you , well thats a coincedence or good for you i suppose. I tried some of the tests and they were quite entertaining in finding out some stuff.

Well until the next nice thing to know......

Mental Abilities: More Music Yields More Words

if you want to improve the vocabulary of your children, sign them up for the orchestra, a study released yesterday suggests.

The research, which was published in the journal Neuropsychology, builds on earlier research showing that the region of the brain involved in verbal memory is larger in adult musicians than in those who are not musicians.

Researchers from the Chinese University of Hong Kong studied 90 boys in a local school. Half of them were members of the school's string orchestra.

The boys with musical training scored about 20 percent higher on a test of their ability to learn new words and did slightly better than the nonmusicians at recalling words after a 30-minute break.

Crap no wonder i seem to forget things easily. I'm musically retarded hahah

Black Chapter
Checked out cinescape today and stumbled across this new movie that is in the works.

The team behind Screen Gems' upcoming UNDERWORLD are working on a new supernatural/action project. Sci-Fi Wire reports that director Len Wiseman and writer Danny McBride are developing BLACK CHAPTER which Wiseman describes as "THE SIXTH SENSE meets LA FEMME NIKITA." "It's the CIA using ethereal agents. ... I've never seen a ghost movie done as a slick action film," Wiseman told Sci-Fi Wire. "There's thrillers. There's comedies. There's horror. Never mixing ghosts with an adrenaline-full, kick-ass action movie"

If you guys are wondering what is UNDERWORLD, its a movie about a vampire clan VS the werewolf in an all out racial fight against each other. The heroin of the movie is acted by Kate Beckinsdale ( the chick from Serendipity ) , from the vampire clan , falls in love with a werewolf and then get hunted by the respective clans. The movie will be out next month i think.

Yeah yeah i guess you must be thinking what a geek or wierdo with this supernatural movie hehe. But hey if you liked movies like The Hulk , Blade , etc i think you'll appreciate this one.

Until i find something else which is nice to know......

Introduction

Heya people, upon viewing my friend's blog (http://purple_bee0.tripod.com/blog/) i've decided to start my own. I was thinking to have a blog that doesn't really focus on me, because thats common but to try to bring info to people about things i think that is nice to know and maybe be helpful. Of course there is a chance that most of you who are here will find it useless but hey its a start. I will draw my info from various sites and on things i see on tv or whatsoever i can think of.

For today's helpful info check out this cool photoshop tutorial on how to make a chilly wallpaper. Its real easy to do. http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/answerstips/story/0,24330,3484484,00.html

This is the final result. You can replace the letters with any word you want.
